Astronomy Club
This photograph shows the telescopes being set up on the field outside D-block on Wednesday 31 August. Scorpius, Mars and Saturn are high overhead at present. The exposure was 20 seconds, so the brightest stars are captured. It also shows the light pollution from the school buildings, and sodium street lamps making the sky orange. Even so, the deep sky objects high overhead were visible. We expect to have another observation evening this term, providing the forecast is good. It will be announced in the morning notices.
