The final day of the New Zealand Secondary Schools Road Cycling Championships saw Madi Hartley-Brown take out the Under 17 Points Race, while Campbell Stewart was victorious in the Under 20 Points Race. Congratulations Madi and Campbell, fantastic achievements.

Campbell's victory finished off an outstanding record for him in this event, having won the Points Race title in every age group he has contested while at secondary school - five titles in five years. Special mention must be made of David Martin, who rode a very strong and tactically astute race in support of Campbell and took a lot of pressure off him. David picked up two points to finish in ninth place.

Dylan Simpson capped off a fine weekend to finish in fifth place in the Under 17 race. Adam Francis showed that the future of PNBHS cycling is in good heart with a second place finish in the Under 14 Points Race. Other top placing riders included Aiden Jones, sixth in the under 15 race, and Angus Claasen, fourth in the under 16 event.

Overall, PNBHS placed third in New Zealand, a fantastic team effort on top of a number of notable individual performances. Well done team, and thanks to the many parents and other members of our school community who have shown their support of our young men over the last three days.
