12STS - Experimental vs Theoretical Probability

Looking at a practical example of the more times we repeat an experiment (in this case, throwing a dice), the probability, according to the experiment, will get closer and closer to the theoretical probability of an event occurring. In this task the boys were looking at the chance of a 6 on a dice by doing four experiments of 50 trials each and comparing the mean result to the theoretical. This will lead onto the first Internal Assessment of the year - 'investigate a situation involving elements of chance using a simulation'.

Complex versions of simulations and experimental probability are widely used.
