Electing to bat on a damp, grassy wicket, partnerships were hard to form, and we found ourselves in a spot of bother at 74 for 5 after 20 overs. However, a rebuild took place over the next 14 overs as Henry Deans and Hugo Wakeling put on 53 runs for the 6th wicket. Sensible batting from captain Mitch Crystal saw the score through to 184 a.o. in the 45th over. Henry Deans 38, Hugo Wakeling 26, Mitch Chrystal 21*.
In response, St Pats started positively, but some good bowling led to early wickets, and despite them meeting the required run rate, they were never able to form the partnerships required to challenge our score. Eventually they were all out for 118 runs, a win by 66 runs for the 2nd XI. Henry Deans 4- 47.
