Palmerston North Boys' High School supports the work of the Fred Hollows Foundation through our annual Fred Hollows Day and associated fundraising activities.  Fred Hollows is an Old Boy of the school who worked tirelessly throughout s life to develop the technology and surgical procedures required to restore the sight of tens of thousands of people worldwide in a cost effective manner.  Every $25 raised restores someones sight - a huge gift to give from such a small amount.

On Wednesday, October 22, the Prefects will be at the hall doors as you enter assembly to accept donations on behalf of the Fred Hollows Foundation.  There will also be a fundraising sausage sizzle at lunch time and opportunities for you to experience the effects of cataract blindness and see how ts impacts on some every day activities.
