FUNDRAISER for PNBHS Stage Band Trip to South Australia in September 2015.

Tickets are now available at 100% LEADER & WATT (in Marton) and HUNTERVILLE TRADING CO (Hunterville) in addition to the PNBHS Finance Office.

The PNBHS Stage Band has been an institution in the Music department for the last 20 years. It is one of our elite groups and students can only gain entry to the Stage Band by audition.

To continue to grow the group, we are constantly on the lookout for development opportunities. In 2013 the band toured to Sydney and Melbourne in Australia. There, the band provided several high profile performances as well as undertaking workshops with leading Australian musicians.

This year, the band is travelling to Adelaide and Mt Gambier. In Adelaide the boys will take part in a full day's motivational music and band workshop with Mr Bill Broughton - one of the leading trombonists in the world, who for many years was based in Los Angeles and worked as a studio band for many of the leading movie studios.

The band will then travel to Mt Gambier to the James Morrison Jazz Academy for workshops with international tutors. James Morrison has an unenviable reputation as a leading Jazz musician and outstanding trumpet player.

To help with fundraising, the band will be performing in a concert this Saturday 1st August at the Hunterville Town Hall at 7pm. All proceeds will go towards providing this opportunity for our leading musicians. The band will be supported in the concert by The Arcadian Singers from Taihape, The Catibile Trio, and the boys Big Band and the OK Chorale.

Tickets are $12 an adult, $10 a school student, $25 family of four. They are available from the PNBHS Finance Office, Leader and Watt in Marton and Hunterville Trading Co in Hunterville.

It will be a great night out to support the boys in the Music Department.
