Year 13 student John Gummer is currently representing New Zealand at the World Youth Fly Fishing Championships. The competition is based out of the ski town of Vail in the Rocky Mountains, Colorado. John reports that the practice sessions with a local fishing guide went well. He carried the New Zealand flag at the opening ceremony, when all teams marched through the town.
