Congratulations to the 15 young men from Year 9 who presented their speeches today. Public speaking is always a challenge, especially when it is to an audience of your peers.

The judges commented on the very high standard of all speakers, which made determining the top placings a difficult process. Third place went to Harry Bird (9OG), and second place to Victor Woodfield (9BS).

William Wood (9PG) was placed first - and identified as the clear winner - for his speech about pollution. The judges commended his ability to put an 'entertaining spin on a common speech topic'.
