At assembly this morning presentations were made to young men who performed with distinction in NCEA and IGCSE assessments in 2015.  Through gaining NCEA Endorsed with Excellence, or by electing to academically challenge themselves by sitting IGCSE examinations, these young men have provided themselves with a ‘point of difference’ that will be to their benefit in the future when applying for positions in tertiary courses, scholarships and places in university halls of residence.

(top left photograph below) Young men who achieved NCEA Level One Endorsed with Excellence received a New Zealand Super Eight Schools Certificate: Alexander Antoine de Joux, Connor Beck, Lukas Dreyer, Alexander Hoek, Jonas Holman, Roman Jensen, Arrooran Jeyamohan, Steven Jiang, Luciano Lanham, Samuel Leabourne, Jaesung Lee, Keun Hee Lee, Nico Lieffering, Asa Ngirazi, Matthew O’Leary, Hayden Osborne, Harrison Porritt, Nicholas Punnett, Long Qian, Kieran Sanson, Daniel Soveini-Nejhadi, Patrick Takurua, Patric Trubridge, Gehui Zhao.

(bottom left photograph below) Young men who achieved NCEA Level Three Endorsed with Excellence also received both a New Zealand Super Eight Schools Certificate and badge.  This group is especially small as the majority of young men who gained NCEA Level Three Endorsed with Excellence were in Year 13 in 2015 and have consequently left school: Liam Allen, Timothy Cen, Kaveesha Fernando, Malachi Hill, Nathan Hotter, Niall Malone, Samuel Reddish.

(bottom right photograph below) Young men who gained A or A* grade passes in IGCSE examinations were presented with their certificates.  These young men achieved this in 2015 as Year 10 students: Milo Costanza-van den Belt, Jarod Govers, Aidan Holroyd, Kaleb Idemaru, Finn Martin, Jack Nesdale, Tomas Lieffering, Alistair Keay, Aidan Berkhan.  These young men achieved A or A* passes as Year 11 students: Victor Ferreira van Eyk, Jonas Holman, William Hunter, Stanley Jackson, John Robinson, Finlay McRae.
