Year 12 student Chris Arbuthnott is aiming for Rio.
Chris, who was born with an arm that wasn't formed below the elbow, is moving into the elite levels in para-swimming in New Zealand and has the 2016 Rio games as one of his goals. Chris spoke at assembly this morning about his journey in swimming and ambitions for the future.
Today, September 7, marks one year until the 2016 Paralympics and the start of a major fundraising drive by Paralympics New Zealand.
We would like our school community to get behind Paralympics New Zealand by donating a gold coin tomorrow. There will be a collection as students enter assembly and any other donations can be made at the school office. Thank you for your support.
