Palmerston North Boys' High School is the only school in New Zealand that still holds boxing championships - a big thank you to Billy Meehan for the work that he does.
Each year approximately 100 boys compete in the School Boxing Championships. Boxing is a contact sport and this event is run under strict guidelines.
Preliminary bouts were held last week. Final bouts were held in a ring in the School Hall yesterday.
To get into the ring in front of your peers shows alot of courage and determination.
