This is to remind parents that the Junior Road Race is to be held next week on Tuesday, 17 November. This event occurs during the school day and therefore there are no special travel arrangements necessary for your son. He is to arrive at school at the usual time and will walk under supervision to and from Coronation Park, the starting and finishing place for the race.
We would appreciate if you would please impress on your son the need to bring his club uniform, appropriate running shoes (for the road), white socks, sunblock, a drink bottle and sun hat (optional). In the event that the weather may be cold he should also pack in his bag his school jersey and/or rain jacket. It is expected that the boys will return to school by 12.30pm and normal classes resume for the rest of the day.
