2016 Crest to Crest take the record!
Stage One - 22km Mountain Run 2 hrs 42 minutes
Stage Two - 70km Mountain Bike 2 hrs 38 minutes
Stage Three - 100km Kayak 11hrs 18 minutes
Stage Four - 160km Road Cycle 5hrs 34 minutes (new record for the stage)
Stage Five - 24km Run 2hr 03 minutes
Total time - 24hrs 15 minutes (New Record beating the previous record from 2007 of 24hrs 31 minutes).
At the finish line, a trifecta of Abbiss brothers in Crest. With Tim finishing the Crest to Crest this year, he joined his two older brothers Hugh (2010) and James (2011) as the first time three brothers who have all completed the Crest to Crest. A remarkable achievement for the family with all three brothers performing with distinction through out the week.
Also at the finish line cheering in the boys, was former Head Boy Seamus Barnett - seen chatting to 2016 Headboy, Te Arike Te Puni.
