Congratulations to Year 12 student and College House boarder Patrick Takurua, who has been accepted into the Fuji Xerox Next Generation Leaders Programme for 2016. From a leadership perspective, Patrick is involved in the PNBHS Leadership, Service a Character development programme, the Barrowclough Award, and earned a Gold Barrowclough Award in 2016. Patrick was also selected to attend the recent OPC Leadership Development Programme, a reflection of the manner in which he lives up to our school values.
Patrick is fully involved in school activities as a member of the PNBHS Stage Band and Jazz Combo and has spent today attending the OK Chorale selection workshop to try and gain selection this year. Patrick also plays rugby, and will trial for the Development XV.
In their communication to inform the school of Patrick’s selection, Fuji Xerox noted that there had been a substantial increase in applicants from throughout New Zealand, and that the calibre of students who applied was particularly high.
