Venue: College House Function Room                  

Purpose: The combined Prefect seminar provides an opportunity for our young men and young women to interact socially, to explore leadership ideas that will be important in their lives both now and in the future and to gain experience presenting to a group in a formal setting.

Theme:       What will leadership in the 21^st Century look like?

Each school will present based on this theme.  Presentations could include written and verbal presentations, video clips, role plays, problem solving activities etc.

Key concepts to consider could include:

• The necessary skills/competencies for future leaders
• Differences in leadership expectations in different cultures/societies
• The importance of individual and societal values – will these change?
• Communication skills – what are the impacts of communication technology?
• Key future issues e.g. the environment, growing social and financial inequalities, increased ethnic and cultural diversity in society

Format:

• Mr Bovey to introduce the seminar
• PNBHS to present their session
• Lunch
• PNGHS to present their session
• Ms Scott to summarise/conclude the seminar
