There will still be the opportunity to register social teams so that you can play with your mates. To register a social team you must fill out a form, see the link below. You can enter any number up to 10 but teams less than ten will be joined together or have individuals added. Return the form to Dr Smith. All players on your team list must be registered prior to returning the form or the team will not be entered.
Teams:
Teams will consist of ten players that play on a Friday night at varying times at Arena Manawatu or in the PNBHS gym.
Singlets and shorts are purchased separately through the uniform shop. Students who already own these items will not need to purchase them again. The basketball shorts are the same as those used in hockey and football. The Basketball Association has made the use of mouth guards compulsory in all competitions. Players will not be permitted to take the court without a mouth guard.
Expectations:
Palmerston North Boys’ High School teams do not default. It is expected that once students are placed in a team, they commit to that team. If players are unavailable they must make arrangements with their team manager.
Basketball is a very popular sport at PNBHS. Our teams compete in all of the boys competitions on Friday nights as well as the local men's A grade.
