    INTER-COLLEGIATE - THURSDAY 26 JUNE AT FOXTON GOLF CLUB

    DEADLINE FOR PERMISSION SLIP: WED 25 JUNE at 9am

    DETAILS:

    Date: Thursday 26 June 2025
    Time: Leave school at 8.30am from the back entrance in Edgeware Road near the cricket nets, Thursday 26 June in normal school uniform - meet at 8.15 am
    Dress: Golf gear (black shorts/trousers and school-supplied golf shirt). Due to big numbers please also bring a suitable golf shirt (preferably white, but any colour will be fine)
    Golf gear: Bring your personal gear - you must also cater for a wet day
    Food: You must provide any food your son requires on the day  
    Travel: We will travel to and from Foxton by minivan
    Arrival home: We expect to arrive home at approx 4.00pm on Thursday - accurate details will be advised to you by text from your son when we leave Foxton

    Palmerston North Boys' High School offers many opportunities for the enthusiastic golfer.

     

    The School Golf Championship is the first event of the year, with a gross, net and stableford championship. This is open to all golfers with an official New Zealand Golf Handicap. From the School Golf Championship, the Super 8 team is selected. This is for the 8 best golfers in the school, keeping in mind that we need to develop golfers for the future. This championship is played over 3 days, rotating amongst the Super 8 Schools. The PNBHS Golf Team have won Super 8 for 2 of the last 3 years.

     

    The next event is Manawatu/Wanganui Intercollegiate Golf Championship and we have interschool fixtures versus Francis Douglas Memorial College and Napier Boys' High School


    Any students wanting to be part of the PNBHS Golf Team should first become a member of their local golf club then join all the exciting tournaments PNBHS has on offer.
