Earlier this week young men studying Level Three Drama performed the play Shuriken, written by Vincent O'Sullivan. Shuriken tells the story of the 1943 'Featherston Incident' in which New Zealand guards opened fire on Japanese prisoners in an internment camp, killing 48 and wounding a further 75, as well as killing one New Zealand guard.
