This week young men in the Year 10 New Zealand Studies class had the opportunity to visit Te Manawa as part of their study of the history of the Manawatu region. They were introduced to the story of Maori settlement, the impact of the arrival of European settlers and how this changed land use in the region. The Manawatu River exhibition provided insight into the role the river has played in shaping the landscape of the region.
