The Pasifika Fusion Festival is a celebration of all Pasifika cultures. Ts year Palmerston North Boys’ High School were represented by a team of 34 young men meaning nearly half of all of our Pasifika students were involved. The cultural group practiced at lunchtimes and weekends in order to defend their first place in the cultural performance competition in 2013.

In the weeks leading up to Pasifika Fusion we held a family fono where the group performed the Tokelauan dance for the first time. On Tuesday 1st July, the Pasifika Cultural Group performed an open dress rehearsal in the Speirs Centre during lunchtime and were really humbled by the large number of students and staff who showed their support by attending.
