In the U15 National Tournament in the second week of the holidays, the team dominated in pool play and in their crossover but fell to eventual winners Waitakere in the semi final. Finishing 4th overall, these two boys Maraki Aumua and Kalem Billy Tanoa were selected into the tournament team
No rest, straight on a plane that evening to join their NZBA team in Las Vegas where they took 3rd place and a bronze medal in the Bigfoot Tournament after only a few hours sleep.
Just yesterday, they took out the gold medal match in the FAB48 Tournament in Las Vegas. Kalem (Captain) and Maraki led their team to 8 convincing victories to claim the title.
Seeing Kevin Durant, Russel Westbrook, Paul George and many other NBA players at the UNLV where they stayed was another highlight of the trip!
