"The Palmerston North Girls' High School EnviroGroup are running a student-led conference on environmentalism for high school students in the Manawatu to inspire other schools and other students to create tangible efforts towards the environment!
We want to invite students from your school to our conference to inspire them and learn ways in which they can be more environmental through small changes in their lifestyles.
Wero is the name for our conference this year, as we want to use this as an opportunity to challenge the youth in the Manawatu community to think and live more environmentally. Wero is completely new in the Manawatu, and is a fully youth-led and run conference and is designed for high school students in the Manawatu. The Envirogroup at PNGHS felt the need to establish this environmental conference since there is nothing similar around the Manawatu which does so, especially for youth and teens. Wero will be held on the 22th September (which is a Saturday) in Palmerston North Girls High School, from 9:00 am - 4 pm with a small koha for entry."
