At the Prefects’ dinner last night Head Prefect, Digby
Werthmuller, presented the Prefects gift to PNBHS to the Rector, Mr Bovey. The Prefects have commissioned a painting of
the Memorial Gallery by Old Boy Reuben Currie.
While the piece is yet to be completed, a very impressive work is emerging. Digby explained that the Prefects selected
the Memorial Gallery as the subject of the painting as it is such an important
part of PNBHS; the names of all young men are recorded in the visitor’s book
and it reminds us of the sacrifices made by former pupils of the school. With 2018 marking 100 years since the
armistice to end World War One, the choice of the Memorial Gallery is particularly
poignant.
