Year 10 Specials Cricket v Wellington College

Monday 18 February

Year 10 Specials batted first against Wellington College. Thomas Bell opened the batting and set a strong platform scoring 53 off 33 balls at the top. There were numerous starts and the boys batted with good intent, before a rash of wickets left the tail to bat out the last 10 overs. Jett Donald-Charnley and Oscar McVerry both scored 30, but the boys were probably 15-20 runs short, all out for 204.

With a quick outfield and short boundaries, PNBHS needed quick wickets. Wellington College did not allow this, as steady partnerships saw the Wellington side get over the line with a flurry of boundaries at the end. Aadesh Ganugapati was the best of the bowlers, with an economical spell of 6 overs for 18 runs.
