On Friday 30 August, the Year 10 Horitculture class went to a local farm on the outskirts of Palmerston North and planted 1000-1500 native trees as a way to get rid of gorse and to do their bit for the environment, as well as putting their theoretical concepts learnt in the classroom into practice - real education outside the classroom.
