A core component of the Character Education programme and
Barrowclough Award at PNBHS is service to others through volunteering. To assist with this we are encouraging all
young men to register for the SVA (Student Volunteer Army) Service Award and it
is gratifying to see the number who have done so already.
It was a pleasure this morning to make presentations to the
first young men who have earned their Gold Award Pins – the culmination of 500
hours of volunteer work. Congratulations
to Ahmad Barzak, Caleb Martin and Max Zander for this outstanding achievement.
If you are yet to register for the SVA Service Award we
encourage you to do so https://service.sva.org.nz/ Once you have registered your profile you can
begin to log all of the service activities you have been involved with to date.
