Congratulations to Jayden Burgess who has been awarded the national, Auahatanga (Most Creative Fundraising) World Vision Award for 2019. The Auahatanga award celebrates an individual for thinking outside the box to re-write the rules.

The committee was inspired by Jayden’s efforts to represent the challenges many children face in accessing education in our world and the spirit of creativity he used in organising this year’s fundraising efforts.

This award not only recognises Jayden but also the wider school community, for showing kindness and compassion through innovation in this years’ World Vision 40 Hour Famine. Those funds raised will make an incredible difference to the refugee children of South Sudan.

This award celebrates an individual for thinking outside the box to re-write the rules. We were so inspired to hear about your fundraising efforts throughout the course of the year. You have shown a spirit of creativity and courage in your fundraising efforts this year, which is changing lives for children like Edna in South Sudan.
