YEAR 9 SPECIALS CRICKET
The Year 9 Specials cricket team had their first game at the junior Hawke’s Bay tournament yesterday. Unfortunately, our first opponents had to withdraw so a composite Napier Boys’ High School team were used as a replacement. Napier BHS, batting first, struggled to get any momentum into their innings as accurate bowling induced errors. Napier BHS were bundled out for 74. Riveen Samarasekara, Matt Rowe and Ethan Campbell all taking 3 wickets apiece.
PNBHS were positive in reply, achieving the target for one wicket off 12 overs. Jacob Duker top scoring with 24 not out.
A win to the Year 9 Specials by 9 wickets.
