YEAR 9 STUDY SKILLS 2021
AN OPPORTUNITY TO IMPROVE THINKING AND MEMORISATION
A four hour (two session) course for students in Year 9 will be held on:
- March 22 & 23 or March 24 & 25. (Choose which dates you prefer)
- Both sessions run from 6.30-8.30pm in the school Library.
The cost will be $45.
The course will cover:
· The different ways that the brain processes information
· The power of keywords
· Writing overviews
· Making an effective study plan
· Various ways to study the different subjects
· Effective note-taking
- General points about revising for tests and examinations
This course is specifically for Year 9 students and is designed to make students more aware of the potential for learning every student has and to assist students to prepare for examinations.
Students must attend in school uniform. Parents are welcome to attend at no cost.
Payment can be made by:
- Internet banking – Account number: 03 0726 0476403 00 reference “study skills” and which session 22/23 or 24/25. Please also add your son’s student ID number.

- If you have credit on your account and you would like to use this, please contact the Finance Office via email finance@pnbhs.school.nz.

- Coming into the Finance Office and paying directly
Bookings need to be made by Wednesday 17 March. Please clearly indicate which session your son is attending: March 22/23 or March 24/25.
