At the Prefect's Assembly this morning for our junior students, Head Prefect Jacob Dredge spoke about the fundraising efforts for Relay for Life. Very few whānau have not experienced the impact of having a loved one diagnosed with cancer and the Relay for Life is a great opportunity for us to support the work of the Cancer Society in our local community. Young men who are keen to be involved can collect a sponsorship sheet from the Leadership Director, Mr. Lobb, or buy a sausage at the lunchtime sausage sizzles over the next few Fridays - thanks to the Mad Butcher Palmerston North for their support of this.
As well
as Jocob, we heard from Hemi Pinfold-Whanga, who spoke about his experiences on
the recent Year 12 BMAC Camp, and were treated to a very accomplished
performance on the piano from Kieran Giddens.
