Manawatu Wanganui Intercollegiate Golf Championships - Thursday 1 April
The annual Manawatu Wanganui Intercollegiate Golf Championships was once again hosted by Marton Golf Club on Thursday. A record 57 entrants (33 of these were from PNBHS) participated. The individual championship was always going to be a tight competition between the Feilding High School number one and PNBHS’s Remy Early. Remy managed to get around with a 2 over par 74 defeating the Feilding number one by 2 shots. Fletcher Carpenter won the net competition on countback with a net 68 over Orlando Ratima. The team’s competition was a runaway victory for the A team, defeating the PNBHS B team by a considerable margin, qualifying them for the regional play off with the Taranaki winners.
