At assembly this morning a presentation was made to Leo
Mwape of both the shield for winning the Regional Race Unity Speech competition
and the Tohu Auahatanga award for delivery that he won
at the Race Unity speech finals in Auckland over Matariki weekend. To
make these presentations we were joined by guests from the New Zealand Police
Ms Sara Stavropoulos, Senior Internal and District Communications Advisor for
the Central Districts, and Inspector Clifford Brown, the District Māori
Responsiveness Manager and Jasmine Pai representing the Ba’hai community.
