At the end of 2023, the school applied for a Creatives NZ Grant that would enable ten selected students to work alongside an artist to create a mural at school - the application was successful.
Currently, the students from Yr10 – Yr13 have been working alongside artist Heneriata Te Whata to design a mural that is influenced by the values of the school and the principles of whakawhanaungatanga. The project aims to acknowledge diversity and strengthen connections between students, as well as nurture a sense of collective identity, unity and belonging.
We would like you, the school community, to vote for the design that will be painted on the canteen wall at school.
