This year, the 40 Hour
Challenge is being held from the 21st to the 23rd of June which gives us just
under a month to prepare and start our fundraising.
Even though the 40 Hour Challenge is in three weeks, it’s important to start fundraising as soon as possible because on the 12th to 14th of June, Sanitarium is hosting a bank day on which they will be doubling whatever amount of money we have by then.
This year our focus country is East Timor where the money will be used to plant trees and climate-proof their villages.
Our goal as a school is to raise $20,000. This may seem like a large number but this is achievable if everyone donates just $11 to a great cause.
This is also a great opportunity to earn citizenship points for your Barrowclough programme.
Some ideas to get you thinking are: 40 hours no furniture, 40 hours no technology or 40 hours no cutlery.
Stay tuned in to the notices as you will be hearing more about this opportunity, how you can help, and some cool prizes along the way.
