Manawatu-Whanganui Inter-Collegiate Golf Champs
Despite a cold start, perfect golfing conditions greeted our team of 17 boys at Belmont Links in Whanganui.
Our A-team of Ryan Block (83), William Grieve (81) and Hugo Abdat (82) ran out comfortable winners by 9 shots to retain the Inter-Collegiate trophy.
Another pleasing aspect of the day was that several golfers played their first competition for Boys’ High. Sam Stratford also came very close to a hole-in-one, hitting the pin with his tee shot on the short 9th hole.
Ryan presented the trophy to the school at assembly this morning on behalf of the team.
