Over the weekend, Monty Cole (Year 9), Lachie Duffy (Junior) and Jarvis Shaw (Senior) travelled north to Whangarei to compete in this year’s 2025 NZSS Cross Country Championships.
In massive fields of between 109-171 competitors, all three ran well.
Monty - 45th over 3km in 11.51
Lachie - 45th over 4km in 15.45
Jarvis – 42nd over 6km in 22.36 in the strongest Senior Boys field in many years.
Monty and Lachie teamed up with Maddie and Agatha to win the National Junior Mixed Relay Team title.
Jarvis teamed up with Justin Cunningham, Emma and Millie to gain second place in the National Senior Mixed Relay Team title.
