At the end of Term 3 the Stage Band performed at the Music Works Ensemble Festival Aotearoa (MEFA) and the Young Jazz Band-It national competition. They were awarded Gold for their MEFA performance and finished second in the Young Jazz Band-It competition—outstanding results and a good reflection of the groups commitment and dedication, as well as the musicianship and leadership of the band’s director, Mr. Neville Lauridsen. At assembly this morning Louis Crawford presented the trophy and certificate won by the Stage Band to the school.
