Palmerston North Boys' High School were invited to send a team to compete in the Wellington Secondary Schools Cross Country Teams Relay Championship held yesterday.  All schools from the Wellington area had teams entered and consequently the level of competition was very high, with around 200 competitors.  Teams were comprised of six runners, who each ran one lap of the 2km course, 12km overall.

The Year 9 team, consisting of Tom Hansen, William Leong, Bradyn Popow, Jack Pronk, Blain Quinn and Liam Wall, finished third, while the Intermediate team of Ethan Johanson, Andre Le Pine-Day, Sam Phillips, Joe Reddish, Luke Scott and Benjamin Wall, finished second.  Due to injuries we did not send a senior team to compete.

Well done to all competitors in both teams on your fantastic results.  This level of competition will be good preparation for the upcoming Manawatu Secondary Schools Cross Country and the Super Eight Cross Country.
