National Condor 7’s Tournament 2016
Sir Gordon Tietjens shows the team through the National High Performance 7’s Rugby Facility at Mount Maunganui, before sharing his knowledge and experience with the boys about building up for a major tournament. This summer the recipient of our PNBHS 7’s Rugby Award will spend a day in camp with Manu Samoa.
In three weeks our Senior 7’s Rugby team head to Auckland to compete in the National Condor 7’s Rugby Championship. This year three teams are being selected: N.Z Condors Team, Māori 7’s Team, Auckland Barbarian 7’s Team. They will play in a tournament in Auckland on the 17th December against Australia, Samoa and the Cook Islands.
Our PNBHS coaching staff and players have taken on some vital lessons displayed by our highly successful Premier A Basketball team, during their recent National Basketball Campaign.
· Experienced players front up in the Big Games
· It takes true grit and self-belief to come from behind
· A performance in a final that displayed genuine Mana and Pride
