Mates & Dates
This is the second successful term of an ACC funded program called Mates & Dates, facilitated by experienced external staff.
The program is designed for NZ secondary school students across Years 9 - 13 to promote safe, healthy and respectful relationships. It is made up of 5 key themes:
- healthy relationships
- skills and consent
- identity, gender and sexuality
- when things go wrong
- keeping safe together.
The Year 10 students at school completed the 5 week program last term and this term the Year 9 and 11 students are involved.
The program is a multi-year program (continues on for the following year level program) and is aligned with the Health and Physical Education learning area and key competencies of The New Zealand Curriculum.
