3rd XI Cricket
The 3rd XI played Maw Haws in the final round of pool play. Maw Haws won the toss and elected to field. Conditions were hot and the 3rd's worked their way to 130 all out in the 34th over. Jonty Fleck 27, Ben Loudon 26. The score was below par and the 3rd's needed a win to avoid net run rates from deciding the semi-final places. Regular wickets fell but the run rate couldn’t be contained and Maw Haws reached the total 8 down in the 24th over. Michael Watkins 4-19 was the pick of the bowlers in his 3rd XI debut. A loss by 2 wickets and now wait on other results to see if the season continues.
