At assembly this morning, young men who performed with distinction in NCEA assessments in 2017 were recognised. Young men who achieved NCEA Level One with Excellence were presented with New Zealand Super Eight Schools certificates. Young men who achieved NCEA Level Two or Level Three with Excellence were presented with New Zealand Super Eight Schools certificates and New Zealand Super Eight Schools scholars badges. A presentation was also made to Ronan Carroll and Jarod Govers, who both gained Scholarship oases in English in 2017 as Year 12 students. We were privileged to have Old Boy, and 1957 Head prefect, Mr John Reid at assembly to make the presentations. Mr Reid was the first Old Boy of Palmerston North Boys’ High School to be made a Rhodes Scholar.
