The Ngā Manu Korero Speech Contest was held last Friday at Tararua College. Year 9 student James Pinfold-Whanga came 3rd in the Sir Turi Carroll Junior English section. His chosen topic was "Strong values and just as important than academic achievement". Year 10 student Maioha Taiepa was placed 4th in the Junior Māori section with his speech "The characteristics/values of my creators are within me."
