Parent Teacher Interviews
Parent Interviews are being held on Thursday, 9 August and Monday, 13 August.
If you have not yet booked interviews, I would encourage you to visit www.schoolinterviews.co.nz and enter the password tkbvu, then follow the instructions to book interviews with your son’s teachers. Please note that bookings for interviews on Thursday 9 August will close at 3pm on Wednesday, 8 August.
When you have booked your interviews, please print off your interview schedule and bring it with you to the interviews. Information pertaining to teacher rooms will be available at the entrance to E Block.
Should you wish your son to accompany you to the interviews please ensure he is wearing full school uniform.
Recent trends have shown that over 80% of interviews occur before 6.15pm on any given interview night. Consequently, we are changing the interview times on Thursday, 9 August as a trial to determine whether these better suit your needs. The interview times for each night are as follows:

BUS STUDENTS
For bus students, buses will operate at normal times. It is expected that bus students remain at school as normal unless alternative transport arrangements have been made. As school is closing at 1.20pm on Thursday, 9 August supervision will be provided if your son needs to stay at school.
LOCATION OF INTERVIEWS
Interviews take place in E Block and S Block. Signs will direct you from the main gates in Featherston Street. Should you have any questions regarding your interview times or arrangements, please contact Abbey Etchells, Computer Administration.
BOOKINGS INSTRUCTIONS
Bookings are made via our web based booking system (details below).
You will be able to make or change your bookings at your convenience before 3:00pm the day before the scheduled interview day (3:00pm on Friday 10 August for Monday's interviews). However, a “first come first served” principle applies when making bookings. Parents who make their bookings first should be able to group their interviews together and should have access to all their son’s teachers. Please allow 5 minutes for movement between successive bookings. Late bookings, or last minute changes, may result in interviews being spread or some teachers being unavailable.
Before booking interviews please ensure you know who your son’s teachers are. We would encourage you to double check teacher names as we do have multiple teachers who share the same surnames. These can be accessed via the Parent Portal if required. Please use your son’s first name and last name as they appear in the Parent Portal.
To make bookings over the internet please:
1. Log on to the website: www.schoolinterviews.co.nz
2. Follow the instructions to book interview times with your son’s teachers.
a. For Year 9 & 10 students: please limit these to English, Maths, Science and Social Studies and only one other subject teacher (if required).
b. For Year 11, 12 and 13 students: select all teachers as required.
c. Interviews with the Careers Advisor, Guidance Counsellor, Deans or Hostel Manager can also be made.
3. Please note that each interview with a teacher lasts for only 5 minutes.
4. We recommend you leave at least a 5 minute gap between interviews.
