2nd XI Cricket v St Pat's Silverstream
The 2nd XI won the toss and elected to bat. We got off to a solid start loosing our first wicket in the 12th over with the score on 46. Then followed a partnership between Lachie Bradford and Charlie Justice taking the score through to 141 when Charlie was adjudged lbw for 57. Lachie continued to forge ahead scoring 79, but the rest of the batsmen struggled to apply themselves and eventually we were all out in the 49th over for 220.
Our bowling attack started well with a wicket off the second ball of the innings, however a 2nd wicket partnership started to form, taking the score through to 68 before we struck again. The introduction of spin after the drinks break proved to be decisive as Micheal Watkins (5/15) and Masroor Butt (2/45) cleaned up the rest of the batting to have Silverstream all out for 118 in the 32nd over. A win for the 2nd XI by 102 runs.
