PNBHS NZCT Year 9/10 Colts v Lindisfarne
Lindisfarne won the toss and chose to bat first on a slow and low bouncing pitch. Lindisfarne started well putting on 60 for the first wicket in reasonable time. The fall of the first wicket and the introduction of spin slowed the scoring and wickets began to fall. The Lindisfarne innings never really gained momentum and they finished their 40 overs with 129/7. A very good bowling and fielding effort by PNBHS.
Jett Donald-Charnley with 3-30 was the most successful bowler. In addition, spinners Fred McVerry and Tom Collier did a great job in the middle overs.
On this pitch, that total was going to be a challenge for PNBHS. At 48/4 in the chase, the game was in the balance. Fortunately, Jaiden Meyer was able to guide PNBHS to victory through forming good partnerships with Aadesh Ganugapati and Fred McVerry. Jaiden Meyer finishing unbeaten on 43.
