GATEWAY PROGRAMME SUCCESS

Congratulations to Year 13 student Reagan Shaw who has just left school to begin an Engineering Apprenticeship with Ashhurst Engineering and Construction (AEC).  Reagan is a Gateway Programme student and has been undertaking his work placement with AEC for a number of weeks.

Approximately 85% of all Gateway students at PNBHS are gaining employment/apprenticeships or continuing via UCOL in their chosen trade. If you are currently a Year 12 student who is thinking of doing Gateway in 2020, please note that the criteria to get on the course is as follows:
  • Complete an application form in Term 3
  • Hand completed form in by set date
  • Attendance for Year 12 must be 85% or above
  • Pastoral history in Year 12 of an acceptable standard
  • B+ average for attitude in Term 4 report in 2019
  • Find a suitable work placement that is not with immediate family i.e. cannot work with dad

Gateway is proving very successful however, please be aware that places are limited.

Any questions, please see Mr Johnson.
