JUNIOR A FOOTBALL VS WELLINGTON COLLEGE

When Junior A saw a disturbed and ruined pitch in front of them, they knew this game was going to be tough. Junior A started well by keeping most of the possession within the first 30 minutes. However, late in the first half, Wellington College were able to get a lucky break and unfortunately scored a goal to take a 1-0 lead. Luckily Junior A were able to rise in intensity and respond with a goal by Riley Maclean after a long scrap in the penalty box. Half time was 1-1.

The second half started, once again with Junior A dominating possession. However, Junior A gave a way a penalty, leaving it all on their keeper, Brooklyn Browne. Nonetheless, Brooklyn Browne was calm, and saved the penalty with ease. This little scare force Junior A to push for victory, which came from a lovely right foot shot by Ryan Watson. This took the game to 2-1 to the Junior A team. Although a close win on the scoreboard, Junior A will be happy they dominated possession and the game.
