3rd XI Cricket Report
The 3rd XI started their season off with a 40 over game against the Wanderers Cricket Club. The 3rds won the toss and elected to bat. A great start was made with a 52 run opening partnership but a mini collapse had the 3rds 61-4 at drinks. A 32 run 9th wicket stand gave the score some respectability as the 3rds were dismissed for 143 off 39 overs. Mr Vindriis 39, Josh Campbell 32. The 2nd innings started with some tight bowling from Mehnoor Ghumann and some wayward bowling and Wanderers were 36-2. Unfortunately, a 98 run partnership ended any chance of victory before 3 quick wickets at the end added some highlights. Wanderers 144-5 off 24.1 overs. Fred McVerry 2-13. Some positives from our first match but 33 extras is something that will need working on.
