PNBHS Sports Hall of fame - Our next inductee was in Gordon club and is on the 1st XI cricket Honours Board, although cricket was not the sport in which he made his mark after leaving Boys' High. He won his first national title in 1958 and a previous staff member of PNBHS wrote his biography.

Today's second inductee was born in Feilding and was a member of Kia Ora club. He was Dux Ludorum in his final year at school and was the winner of World Youth titles as well as winning medals at both the Olympic and Commonwealth Games.

We would like to extend a warm invitation to our parent community and friends of PNBHS to join us at our inaugural Celebration of Sport, Sportman’s Dinner to be held at the Silks Lounge, Awapuni Racecourse, Palmerston North on Friday 8 November. The evening will start at 6.00pm with a drinks' hour, followed by a three-course dinner at 7.00pm.

This is our inaugural Sports Hall of Fame gala dinner, to recognise several of our outstanding Old Boys’ who have excelled in the sporting arena. We plan to add further recipients each year, but there will only be one gala dinner.

This will be a fun night with PNBHS Old Boy Hamish McKay as Master of Ceremonies. Hamish will also be hosting a ‘Sports Cafe Question and Answer’ session during the evening. There will be no fundraising activities, we want this to simply be an enjoyable evening where we get together to recognise our sporting greats. Please see the advertisement below for further details or contact Mrs. Rachel Wenham (wenhamr@pnbhs.school.nz or 027 442 3285).
